Ever thought while opening Google Chrome Tabs that how many we can crate at a time. Hmm Interesting. So I decided to do it for you because if you do your PC will lag or stop working for some time I guess so I am here to test this experiment for you. If you want to watch a video regarding this same topic then you'll get it on my YouTube Channel or simply click on this Link.
But full details is given in this Blog so continue reading. So I started creating tabs more and more and more and more. At first there was no problem while I am creating tabs but after more number tabs were opened then homepage tab was taking time to load than how normally it loads but in background my pc working well without any problem when I do other tasks.
I didn't stopped and created more than 200 tabs at a time (this task is also not easy by the way). Now there was a change in computer's speed but I thought let's open Task Manager to check out what's really happening with my computer's memory. Then the real twist got here, you can check out in this image that Google Chrome was alone taking 3GB and more than that RAM for opening tabs. That's insane!
If you don't know opening Tabs takes your RAM so how much RAM you have on your PC depends how many Tabs you can opening at a single time. In this 'so called' experiment I used 8GB of RAM. You can Google that you can create more than 8000 Tabs if you have 8GB RAM or more. So greater the RAM more Tabs you can open. Huuh it was good to listen this but in real life no one will open this many tabs.
But... then even if you have opened 6-8 tabs your PC gets lag or sometimes unexpectedly closes Chrome. Howwww? The reason is simple as in this experiment I just go on creating the same page tabs i.e homepage of Google Chrome which don't need more of megabytes (mb) to load but when you open 6-8 tabs which will obviously different from one another. So each and every tab will be opened as website or something which will need a good amount of storage to open the site. So if you have lesser GB of RAM your PC will get slow or lag if don't close some of the tabs you opened.
So the conclusion is here that your PC can handle manyyyy tabs but it depends on your RAM you have in your PC, greater the RAM more you can create Tabs. Hope you find reading a great reading!
